I. Revision
Ask and Answer
1. Is everyone here today?
Who's not here? Where is he?(she)? Where are they? Is he(she) at
home? Are they at school?
2. Who's on duty today?
3. How are you? How is he (she)? How is your father(mother)?
4. What's your (his her its) name? What are theeir names?
5. How old are you(they)? How old is he (she,it, your friend)?
6.What's your (his her) number? What are their numbers?
7.What grade(class row team) are you in? What grade(class row team) is he in?
8.What's 5 and 7?
9.Can you see the door? Where is it?
II. Presentation
1. Show the prepositions(on,in under behind) by using multimedium and write them on the blackboard.
2. Teach the new words"ball".
3. Take out a box, a pen, a ball, some pens, some oranges to practise the prepositions again.
T:What's this?S:It's a box.T:Where is the pen? And put it in different position.and then go on asking "Where is the ball?" "Where are the pens" "Where are the oranges" Let students answer together.
4.Let students follow the teacher to read the new words quickly.
III.Practice
1. Give students some orders and let them do as teacher says:
Put your pens in the pencil-box! Put your pencils in the pencil-box!
Put your pencil-box under the chair ! Put your book under the chair!
Put them on the desk! Put your book on the pencil-box!Put your pen under the pencil-box! Put your pencil-box in your bag!Put your bag behind you!
A. Put a big picture including six small pictures and listen to the tape books closed. During the listening ask some questions and let students answer together.
B. Open their books and listen to the tape again and get the students
to listen and repeat.Try to ensure that they get the pronunciation and intonation right.The students read the dialogues in pairs.
C. Students ask and answer according to the pictures in the textbook.
D. Do some exercises.
V.Summarising the lesson
Ask one or two students to summarize what they should learn in this class and teacher write the sentences on the blackboard.
VI.Homework
1. Write the new words
2. Finish off Exercise2(1)(3)(5)(6)
